  • Observed: Small amount of yogurt, eggs, and butter were reloaded into open dairy cooler; product was all above 41F. Butter and yogurt at 44-45F moved to walk-in cooler; boiled eggs and shell eggs moved voluntarily discarded due to temperature being 51F. Even in defrost the temperature of the product should not rise above 41F. Some thermometers in the case were reading as high as 60F. Repeat.

    Approved to re-open, permit reinstated. Walk-in cooler and meat open case cooler are now below 41F as required. All potentially hazardous foods that were above 41F have been voluntarily discarded. The open case dairy cooler is stil at 46F ambient air, however cooler is emptied and will not be restocked until inspector rechecks the unit this afternoon.

    Permit suspended: Store had a breaker issue with walk-in cooler, dairy cooler and meat cooler causing potentially hazardous foods to be above 41F. Store was still operating with food pulled from walk-in cooler. Service stopped and suspension signs posted. All affected potentially hazardous foods is being voluntarily discarded.

  • Observed: Upon arrival to establishment the dairy and meat open case grocery coolers were being emptied. Manager relayed there was a breaker issue overnight that affected the meat case, dair case and walk-in cooler. Manager temperatures were 56-60F between the three coolers. Inspector temperatures 44-66F. All potentially hazardous food items in the three units voluntarily discarded including meat, milk, dairy items, eggs, etc. Maintenance on-site at time of visit to reset breaker and ensure coolers are coming back down to 41F or below as required.
  • Observed: Breakfast being served with potentially hazardous foods that were taken from walk-in cooler out of temperature. Corrected on-site by suspending permit. All PHFs from grill area coolers voluntarily discarded.

    Complaint received 5/4/2023 regarding ants and store not clean. No ants observed at time of visit, however manager is aware of issue and has been keeping the are sanitized and agrees to contact pest control.

  • Observed: Ice cream scoop stored in standing dirty water; dipper well faucet was not running. Scoops removed and placed in dish room immediately. New scoops placed in unit and faucet turned on. Corrected on-site.
  • Observed: Vent hood frame and filters have heavy grease build up; area around and under grill also has build up of debris or grease. Increase cleaning frequency to prevent build up.

  • Observed stickers on outsides of clear quarter pans; pans were stacked on top of each other causing the food contact surfaces to be re-contaminated. Corrected by washing, rising and sanitizing immediately. Manager will work on finding a solution to removing sticker residue.
